The second part of the Non- invasive survey involved the assessment of the health of women. In India, a woman’s role in a household is important; she is in charge of the cooking, hygiene and rearing of children. Hence assessing the condition and awareness of the women folk is integral to ascertain the general awareness about health and hygiene of the community. The questionnaire focussed on the reproductive and mental health of women in the 3 villages chosen for the survey. The questionnaire has been divided into three segments – one for adolescent females, the second for the married woman who has borne a child in the past 2 years and the third for post menopausal women. An additional segment focuses on the nutrition and diet of the household, details regarding which were to be provided by the woman in charge of cooking in a house hold. – See more at: http://www.ictph.org.in/publications-questionnaires.htm#sthash.qokF0EFM.dpuf
