The integrated health systems approach driving our action-research at IKP Centre for Technologies in Public Health (ICTPH), in close conjunction with our Thanjavur based partner SughaVazhvu Healthcare recently featured in The Economic Times.
The core principles of our model exploring alternate human resources in close conjunction with technological solutions were carefully evaluated. Our attempt to protocolize primary healthcare delivery through various levels – population based screening; pre-consultation protocol and disease based treatment protocols attracted interest, and special attention was also drawn towards Dr. Mor’s mentorship and guidance. The four features of our intervention – human resource, infrastructure, intervention and financing were highlighted through different sections of the feature. All through the article our research-driven, evidence-based approach towards demonstrating a functioning managed-healthcare delivery platform for remote rural Indian population was indeed evident.
An independent yet close evaluation of our Thanjavur based pilot, summarizing the key features of our research, and positive reflections were indeed promising!
